    Well Cottage, Wokingham
3 bedroom detached house for sale
Although it's easy to fall for Well Cottage's quirky and captivating charm, we think its location is a wonderful asset too.

Set in a quiet residential location with restricted traffic access, Milton Road remains peaceful, yet is just a few steps away from our vibrant market town of Wokingham.

Believed to date back to 1798, this home been lovingly cared for by its present owner.

Each of the bedrooms is a good double size, but the Master Suite steals the show with its high vaulted and timber ceiling, walk-in wardrobe, mezzanine space and en-suite shower.

The kitchen comfortably seats four people for mealtimes, and has tasteful light sage cabinets, gas range cooker, integrated dishwasher, stripped timber floors and sash window. Laundry is tucked away in the pantry / utility room - a lovely space with a stone step, small window and vaulted ceiling with roof window.

The dining room is currently used as a snug and office, and there's additional work space in the garden office if needed.

The lounge doors open out to the patio, and there's a charming arched picture window which adjoins the conservatory / garden room.

Parking is by side access to a rear brick-built garage and, by separate negotiation, parking in Milton Road can be bought on an annual basis for £50 per month.

    A Few Words from Quarters...

"There are so many treats in store we don't know where to start...! We particularly love the exposed brick and timber work, beautiful craftsman-built wooden bedroom storage in the Master suite, the magnificent brick fireplace and wood-burning stove.

Although the lounge is a perfect size for large gatherings, a set of glazed double doors open into the dining room for extra light and flow. We are just imagining the Christmases!

The walled garden, with its gate to the shared driveway and garage, enjoys a good degree of privacy, but there's also a tiny 'secret' garden behind the pantry. That, if you're curious, is where the 'Well' in Well Cottage used to be."
